JUNE AND JULY DAILY TOURS

Guided tours will be held daily at 10:00AM by staff dressed in period clothing. Come to listen to the history and see the structures remaining from different eras of military occupation at Mobile Point and Fort Morgan. Self guided tours are available everyday from 8am to 5pm.

 

 


Fort Morgan State Historic Site Events 2018 

 

June 5, 12, 19, 26        6pm to 7pm Tuesday Evening Living History Tour: $10 per person Historical
Interpreters portray soldiers that occupied this fort from various periods and tell about the lives of
the soldiers during the Fort's most active years. Demonstrations of small arms drills will occur
throughout the evening as well as the firing of one of the fort's artillery pieces at the conclusion of
the tour.

July 2, 2018                   10am to 12am The 151st Army Detachment Band Will Perform Inside the Fort

July 3,2018                     9am-3pm WWI Living History Event : A photo gallery will be on display in
the fort depicting the WWI era of occupation. Living History representatives will be dressed in
period clothing depicting soldier, medical, and family life.

July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31     6pm-7pm Tuesday Evening Living History Tour: $10 per personHistorical

August 4, 2018             9am-3pm Commemoration of the Battle of Mobile Bay Event : A one day
living history event commemorating the events that happened at Mobile Bay August 5-23, 1864.
The fort will come to life with drills and demonstrations of artillery by historical interpreters.

October 17 and 20     6-7 pm "Who Haunts the Fort" : A guided tour by a historical interpreter of
the known deaths and burials at Mobile point from 1813-1910. Bring your own flashlights. Known
Deaths and Burials at Mobile Point Event Fee $12 per person. Limited to 100 people, Museum
and Gift shop are closed for this event.

November 2-3, 2018 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Tarawa and Makin Island Living History Days 

Fort Morgan will be hosting a living history event to include WWII weapons demonstrations and living history programs.  This event is sponsored by the Sgt. Foster L.
